Do you prefer communion by intinction or cup?
There is no right or wrong way to receive – the choice is yours!
Did you know you have a choice in how you receive communion? Have you noticed that some people drink from the chalice and some have the wafer dipped into the small chalice by Fr. Mike and placed in their hand?
Fr. Mike wants people to receive communion in the manner that they choose. If he does not know your preference he will dip the wafer and place it in your hand. If you would like to drink from the cup instead, simply point to the large chalice and he will serve you only the wafer and the chalice bearer will serve you the wine. Please do not dip your bread in the chalice.
There is no right or wrong way to receive, this is simply a reminder for those who are new to St. Philip’s or those who wish to receive communion in a different manner.
