Children Are Invited to Join the Choir this Christmas
I know it’s the season of ghosts and goblins, and then it’ll be turkey time and Christmas seems a way off. But, for those of us who sing in the choir, we’re already preparing for our Christmas season. This year, we’d like to invite our children to help us out. The idea is to have the children sing Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus with the choir. It’ll be the closing number for the Children’s Christmas Pageant.
We are going to start rehearsals with the kids who show up for Sunday School. We’ll begin this Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 9:15 a.m. Help us in this exciting opportunity to lift our voices in making a joyful noise. Please, please, please try to get your kiddos to Sunday School. And, if you know of any other kids who like to sing, invite them as well.
Watch the YouTube video here of the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah for Children’s Choir and Orchestra. It would really be helpful if you could get your children to watch and listen to the song. In fact, why don’t y’all try to sing along with it! It’ll get you in the mood for celebrating the birth of our Lord. Hallelujah!
In Christ’s Love, Blaine
