Give a pint – get a pint (of ice cream) and more!

Meeting the blood needs is not always easy for the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center, especially in the summer. Blood donations typically decline in the summer months as there are no school drives and fewer donors available due to traveling. The South Texas Blood and Tissue Center are working diligently to set up blood drives to ensure that the demands of patients and hospitals can be met during the summer months. At this time they are down to a two-day supply.

St. Philip’s is hosting a blood drive on Thursday, July 13th from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., in Briscoe Hall to help ensure that the blood demands continue to be met this summer.  Please consider giving blood and saving lives. Each donor will be given a pint of Creamy Creations Ice Cream for the pint of blood they donate as well as a Lucky Draw HEB gift card (Card Values are $10 – $150.00).
