May 24th – Third Annual Day Of Remembrance

May 24th – Third Annual Day of Remembrance

As you know, we are coming up on the 3rd Day of Remembrance of the tragic Robb Shooting. The days are passing but the pain, the loss, and the trauma remains. We will gather in several ways to remember all who were affected on May 24th, 2022; those lost and those who survived, their families and friends, and the entire community of Uvalde. Please join us as a community to pray, reflect, and take part in the events. Our hope is that they will bring you comfort and peace.

Saturday – May 24th – 3rd Annual Day of Remembrance

  • 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – St. Philip’s Church will be open to the community for prayers, candle lighting, and reflection. Outside in front of the church you are invited to express your thoughts, feelings, and prayers with chalk art on the sidewalks and a community sand art project.
  • 12:49 p.m. – Tolling of the bell and prayers on the front steps of the church.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Labyrinth Walk and Sidewalk Chalk and Sand Art for healing, peace, and nonviolence.

Life is short and we do not have much time to gladden
the hearts of those who make the journey with us.
So be swift to love, and make haste to be kind.
(Henri Frédéric Amiel)
