ChoRuss is Coming Back to St. Philip’s

We are pleased to announce that the wonderful Ensemble “ChoRuss” will be back in Uvalde in May to entertain and delight us once again. Last year we weren’t sure what to expect – but we were captivated by their performance. The power and the beauty of their gifted voices amazed us all and we were equally dazzled by their charming and delightful personalities.

ChoRuss Vocal EnsembleSt. Philip’s is overjoyed to have another opportunity to welcome and host the ChoRuss Vocal Ensemble. “ChoRuss” means choir of Russia. It was formed in 2012 and consists of four people, two women and two men. The repertoire of the ensemble consists of spiritual music, which is performed during church services in the Orthodox Church, and Russian folk songs. The ensemble has toured throughout Europe and the United States. All members have a formal music education and some have received awards in international vocal competitions.

The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 2nd, at St. Philip’s followed by a reception in Grace Hall. I hope you will invite friends and family and plan to attend – this will be an entertaining evening you are sure to enjoy!

This is a free concert open to the public. Sponsorships or general donations are welcome and appreciated to help make this concert possible.  If you are interested in being a sponsor, please contact Fr. Mike.
