We will once again be hosting a Seder Meal at St. Philip’s. Our Seder Meal will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Palm Sunday, March 29. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this tradition, let me clue you in. The celebration is designed to imitate a Jewish Passover Seder, but it includes a Christian take. In many ways, it is the same meal that Jesus celebrated with his disciples at what we call The Last Supper. It has, in years past, been so much fun for us, our families, and guests.

The event is a covered-dish dinner. Bring the food of your choice (enough for your family & guests), but try to keep within the Jewish tradition of “kosher,” no pork, no shellfish, and no leavened food (bread, crackers, cakes, etc). Everyone should bring red wine, enough for you and your guests, or if you prefer not to drink wine, grape juice will be provided. The wine/grape juice is a part of the traditional Seder Meal.

While children are welcome and encouraged to attend, we will provide childcare upon request for the young ones. It’s a family affair and a great teaching. Let us know if you need childcare when you sign up.

Please click the link below and let us know that you will be joining us. The deadline for making a reservation is Thursday, March 26th. We need to know how many to count on so we will have enough places for everyone. It’s a fun evening you won’t want to miss.

Hope to see you there — Nancy Bennett
