Loaves & Fish Lunch
We will celebrate “Loaves and Fish” lunches this year on each month with a fifth Sunday – March 29, May 31, August 30, and maybe November 30. So, what is it?
On these Sundays, we will meet after the 10:30 service in Briscoe Hall for a sack lunch and an opportunity to meet those in our Parish Family with whom we might not be familiar. It’s a change to get to know one another. There is very little requirement, just bring a sack lunch. We will have ice water available, so bring a juice or drink if you like. Additionally, we hope some will bring a little extra in the event there are guests, or someone forgets to bring a lunch, so we can share. Thus… Loaves and Fishes.
Children are welcome. Nancy and I will bring a loaf of bread, peanut butter, jelly, and chips to share with little ones or the young-at-heart.
My hope is that we’ll spread out and sit with someone we don’t know so we can visit. No one will be required to speak to the group, but anyone who wishes to share a short bit about themselves will have an opportunity.
Please plan on joining us. I look forward to visiting.

“11 Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish. 12 When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” 13 So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.” John 6:11-13
