Back to School
We will kick off the school year with two events on Sunday, August 9th!
We will gather in front of the church at 9:30 am for a Back to School Prayer Walk around the SPES campus. The group will stop at the corners of the campus to offer prayers for protection, the school year, students, parents, teachers, faculty, and administration. Please join us as we lift up SPES and the school year to the Lord.
Students and teachers are invited to bring their backpacks and school bags to church on this day to have them blessed for the school year. Fr. Tanner will invite those returning to school up to the front and offer a blessing. Everyone will receive a blessing tag for their bag – take one for your book bag, gym bag, whatever! We have plenty!
Fr. Tanner will also bless any items collected for the school supply drive.
Venue
The church is located at the corner of Getty and Mesquite St. in Uvalde, Texas. The entrance is at the top of the stairs through the large metal doors facing Getty Street. The entrance is ADA-accessible.
